Girlhood is a light
and I can’t look away.
The spots it leaves behind
are only compensation.
My brain’s bright fiction,
a witness to my own conversation.

Clutching daisies as I run
barefoot through the sun.
Alice may appear at any moment,
and fumble for the future,
certain womanhood will be mine;
knowing something waits
just beyond the line.

Part 1 of a three-part poem inspired by, and slightly paraphrased from, Where is the line? by Makenna Karas

Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

Each The Master Of Their Own Domain

Master your own affairs
Others evil cannot sway
You from your own cares
Come whatever, come waht way
