I am so happy and grateful that I don’t have to teach this morning as originally planned. I can relax a little before we go to visit Bruno for his housewarming.

*June Of 44 – Hopetoun Hotel, Sydney, Australia – 11th August 1999

For some reason, I had it in my mind that I saw June of 44 a couple of times at the Hopetoun but research seems to suggest that this is the only time they visited.

You remember standing next to the pool table with TLJ at the back of the room and chatting with Jeff Mueller about Ramona Lutz, who was briefly Squirrel Bait’s manager and a one-time pen pal, who hipped you to Rodan and other cool stuff going on in Louisville. At that time, you had just recently received a letter from Edward Lutz, that Ramona had passed away after a battle with cancer.

Great band on top form. You don’t recall the support bands but it may have been… a name you’re blanking on right now but can picture the cover of their album….
