Brown paper wraps your present
It’s plain to see
It’s all right
It’s in black and white
But what can it be?

Pressure – 27th September 1986
Pressure pipes about to explode
They’ve taken all they can hold
Pent-up energy, ready to burst
It could only be for the worst
You let it build up for too long
You thought there was nothing wrong
Ignore the problem and it’ll go away
But you’ll only end up having to pay
Moth – 26th September 1986
Clothes in your cupboard
Full of moth holes
Get out your mothballs
Keep in control
Moth on your cloth
Gotta get it off
Clothes all holey
Moth ate them slowly
Robot – 24th September 1986
Are you plugged in
To the latest thing?
Robotic automation
Is here to save the nation
Sitting in their yen
Japanese businessmen
Getting rich quick
By turning the odd trick
What do they care about the unemployed?
‘Here, have a robot – don’t get annoyed’
Rain – 23rd September 1986
You know what they say
Rain, rain go away
Come back another day
But I want it to stay
I wanna get cold and wet
Cos it makes me forget
The heat and the sun
Which spoils my fun
Life In A Tent – 20th September 1986
I lived in a house
I got chucked out
Didn’t pay the rent
Now I live in a tent
Corkscrew – 19th September 1986
Corkscrew
Undo
Wine fumes
Consumed
Corkscrew
Job done
Corkscrew
Cork gone
Toothpick – 18th September 1986
Piece of wood
Bark of the wrong tree
Toothpick, toothpick
Picked tooth, coming free
Resist
The dentist
Superglue made it stick
I swallowed it
Made me sick
Takes off the plaque
With that bark
Colgate toothpaste
What a waste
Toothbrush
In a rush
Pack your pick
After Midnight – 16th September 1986
After midnight
I can play
After midnight
Another new day
After midnight
Silence roars
After midnight
Darkness claws
People go to bed
They ought to be dead
If they can’t see the sight
Of life after midnight
Noah’s Ark – 15th September 1986
Animals go in two by two
One for me and one for you
Noah got hungry and decided to eat
Noah – you invented meat
