Happy Little Bluebirds – 12th March 2026

12/03/2026 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ 18 Comments

taking the first step
hope is on the horizon
so, so far away

morning mists rising
following rainbow’s release
will reveal the way

Shared with Senhai Saturday #42 picture prompt and Reena’s Xploration Challenge #420 – hope

Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

Seeing Things As The Person At Fault Does

Nobody thinks they are wrong, even when they are
They think they’re right, they’re just mistaken
Compassion and tolerance can heal the scar
Our duty, as we understand it, remains unshaken

The Gathering – 2nd March 2026

02/03/202602/03/2026 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ 6 Comments

gathered by blusters
in turbulent rise and fall
crackling electric

~

gathered in shelter
little ants raise umbrellas
grumbling and humbled

Shared with Senhai Saturday #41 picture prompt

Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

Accurate Self Assessment

Don’t see yourself as more than you are
Or value yourself less than you deserve
Know that you’ve already made it this far
Learn your weaknesses and hold your nerve

New Tree Knows – 23rd February 2026

it’s my con – fusion
that gets deep under your skin

i’m penetrating

my ghost particles

in trillions, unaffected

they see right through you

Shared with SenHai Saturday #40 image prompt

Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

Circumstances Have No Care For Our Feelings

What cannot respond to our cries
A rage falling on deaf ears
A situation cannot tell you lies
Unless you choose what one hears

Steeped In Shadow – 16th February 2026

15/02/202616/02/2026 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ 12 Comments

thrust from the summit

sharp peaks scrape towards the sun

carved statues of light

slumbering valley

steeped in afternoon shadows

reaching for her night

Shared with Senhai Saturday #39 picture prompt

Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

Don’t Make Things Harder Than They Need To Be

On edge, always prepared to escalate
Righteous indignation is a losing state
Manage your duty until it’s done
There are few battles that must be won

Jigsaws – 3rd February 2026

03/02/202601/02/2026 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ 6 Comments

cold compressed jigsaws
hardened in fire, abstracted
pathways to the depths

once I was walking
out of the darkness knowing
that I will walk back

Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

The Source Of Your Anxiety

Ask yourself ‘what is it you want?’
Does your anxiety serve you well?
Why sacrifice your peace of mind
when the gods of fate will never tell?
