Twelve inches long
Talk like a song
Poison tongue
Always right, never wrong
Alway claiming you belong
Poison tongue
A yarn six weeks long
Spoiling someone’s fun
Poison tongue

Games – 4th May 1988
Yes – it’s dark inside your home
There are some games you do not play alone
You know that someone tapped your phone
A feeling of terror is being grown
Come out, come out, wherever you are
Play with me, whoever you are
Cranky Bastard – 3rd May 1988
A hat stand with eyes
Adopted child, no parental ties
Just a fistful of desperate lies
Wrangler jeans with no thighs
A cranky bastard, I surmise
Stayed In – 2nd May 1988
Where did you get to last night?
I stayed in! Is that all right?
Well, we went out and had a laugh
I stayed in and had a bath
I stayed in and that’s where I’m staying
*Rolling Drunks – Winston Churchill Pub, Poole, Dorset, UK – 1st May 1988
*Nik Turner – Mr C’s, Poole, Dorset, UK – 30th April 1988
Sunday
Stay in bed ’til ten
Get up and get pissed again
Back to bed at four
That’s what Sundays are for
Up again at eight
Down the pub, it’s not too late
Try and get in by one
That’s another boring Sunday gone
20th Oct 2024 – Shared with Word of the Day Challenge – Sunday
You – 29th April 1988
Something that you do
You’re just like two and two
Like dumplings and stew
It’s you and only you
You’re one of the lucky few
John Peel – 28th April 1988
From thrash to Zimbabwe
How the bloody hell can he
Play so much shit
And get away with it?
Another Slag – 27th April 1988
Talk to me but no more shit
I’d like to see you but your face don’t fit
I know what you want but you won’t get it
Another slag looking for another hit
She says take me – I’ll throw you away
Someone will have you – just another lay
More than you deserve – that’s what I say
I can see your act – your stupid play
Another slag – another day
No way
Looks Like Hungerford Again – 26th April 1988
Killer on the loose
Six guns in use
He’ll shoot you dead
So his letter said
Here we go again
It’s Hungerford again
Police ill-prepared
No one fuckin’ cared
If he shot himself
Justified everyone else
