Invisible – 9th September 1986

September 9, 1986January 20, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

I couldn’t see it
I could not touch
I want to feel it
Very much
Nothing’s so invisible
As this invisible thing
It does not respect you
For the gifts you bring
It does not cry
It does not care
It is nothing
It isn’t there

Abortion – 8th September 1986

September 8, 1986January 20, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Young girls line up
They’re so receptive
They got pregnant
Abortion is their contraceptive
It’s so easy to get it done
It means you can have your fun
It’s all blown out of proportion
It’s your fault, your abortion

27th October 2023 – I somehow managed to avoid ever being in this situation though there were a couple of close calls.

Fish – 7th September 1986

September 7, 1986January 20, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Chip shop suey
Herringbone stewing
Fish fry in the pan
Fumes fly through the fan
Chip shop, chip shop
Fish chop, fish chop
Fish swim
Give in
Not the plaice or time
On the plate of mine
Ketchup, ketchup
Headcut, head cut
Deathwish, deathwish
Dead fish, dead fish

Princess Diamond – 5th September 1986

September 5, 1986January 20, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Bring her jewels
Bring her gold
Bring her everything
You can hold

Diamonds for my princess
I couldn’t have given less

Buds – 4th September 1986

September 4, 1986January 20, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Zola Coca Cola
Soap-suds
Flower buds
Gold mine
Sprouting time
Sprouts doubts
Sauerkrauts
Sour krauts
German floods
Disintegrated
Rosebuds

Damnation – 3rd September 1986

September 3, 1986January 20, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

She was pushed to the ground
She dared not make a sound
With the knife at her throat
He ripped through her coat
She was raped in the park
Where children play before dark
In the evening you can smell the stagnation
That’s sentenced her to damnation

Hospitals – 2nd September 1986

September 2, 1986January 13, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Lay in bed
Pretend you’re dead
Ruin your head
In hospitals

Make you well
Make you ill
Forward the bill
In hospitals

Ambulance call
Dreadful fall
Forget it all
In hospitals

E.C.T.
Set me free
From the real me
In hospitals

Arena – 1st September 1986

September 1, 1986January 13, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Gladiators in a theatre of pain
The fight is starting all over again
Crowds applaud in admiration
Waiting in anticipation
This fight is between me and her
One of us will die in the arena

I’m So Funny – 28th August 1986

August 28, 1986January 13, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Laugh when I choke
I’m always broke
Got no money
But I’m so funny

Writing On The Wall – 26th August 1986

August 26, 1986January 13, 2024 ~ shaun tenzenmen ~ Leave a comment

Someone told me
The writing’s on the wall
It became obvious
I went to see it all
I added my dirty scrawl
The police came up behind
As I spray paint the wall
What do I find?
Next week I face the jury
The writing was on the wall for me
