a little line of dancing taps
the keys make words
and the words are key
neuron-fired inspirers
transferred to fingers
– stories without end
getting to the heart of it
grand secrets bleed out
beating the resistance
the rambling essence
authenticity
cracked and revealed
An up and down cherita inspired by a section of writing at Spinning Visions blog

A wonderful reading of this powerful poem

It’s difficult to analyse how well oneself reads I think. It does make me consider what is written and how it should be read. I’m still learning.

I understand the artistic attitude of show and don’t tell in poetry but I also believe in telling and telling well. Sometimes we don’t need to beat around the bush.

I love the idea – and the reality – that tapping the keys is another way to resist, be authentic, speak truth to power. A wonderful message.

In your wonderful reading of this poem I saw/heard how the tapping of the keys related to the “beating.” Heart and blood, all in passion has the rhythm, the drum, that ultimately crack and reveal . . .

A unique take on the prompt. I like how you’ve used the word ‘resistance’ here.
