Shaun a poignant exploration of sensory deprivation and the self. It reminds me of ‘The Ship of Theseus’ paradox – if you strip away every way a human interacts with the world, what is actually left?Brilliant 🙌
Your poem reminds me of ‘One’ by Metallica, Shaun, and the World War I soldier who was severely wounded by a landmine, with no limbs, no face, no voice, and is trapped in what is left of his body.
Well, I’m getting educated today. I didn’t know what this sone was about before! Er…I’m not even familiar with the song to be honest, though I do know of it 👍
You whittled it all down to the bare essence at the end. Existence. Thought provoking and I your take on the prompt.

No Cognito, non ergo sum…. sounds like a slow decay… being trapped inside without any senses.
