What’s given a name is created
To make and to use in mind
What it means may not be stated
Yet meaning arose for us to find
And near the name now used
It can be twisted by all means
Remove the magic confused
Now sure, arose from its dreams

Great play on words in the title, Shawn, and I enjoyed the philosophical tone of your poem about words, names and their magic.

Thanks Kim 🙏
I recall the idea, perhaps from the comic book The Names of Magic, that once something is named it has power. I ran with that idea here.

Love the way you used it…. what is really the meaning of a name

Thanks Björn 🙏
As with our self, we are seen differently by each person, yet they are all us. Perhaps it is the same for anything that is named? The rock, grass, sun, car, fruit etc…
