Outside the window, I giggle in delight
The first feel of snow after a silent night
This day of love has already seen me grow
Because this feeling, I thought I’d never know
I found myself once finding my tribe
Along with a love I could only describe
Now felt without any suffocating
All this time patiently waiting
The love was always right under my nose
Because I could cry at heart-wrenching prose
Intoxicated walking along the city street
Even enthralled by the glass and concrete
I will sip this love through a golden straw
And take it home to the Eastern shore
Where the soft dusty snow ignites
A love for this garden of delights

A delightful first snowy morning, Shaun, well rhymed and evocative. I understand the giggle at the ‘first feel of snow after a silent night’.

What a wonderful meeting with that snow… we just had a small dusting of snow outside

The first snow is the magical snow and hence the giggle of delight. To go outside or remain inside?

If it happens here in Thailand I would be straight outside with the camera!

I was lucky enough to enjoy the big snow in the UK in the winter of 78/79 when I was 11 years old. I can recall that memory easily and enjoy the snow again. Having gotten used to tropical weather I don’t think that I would enjoy it so much these days!

Right now, I would be hard-pressed to disagree with you 🙂

p.s. clarification: not having experienced snow in a long time is what I meant to say.

Entrancing lines, Shaun, your joy being contagious, and I couldn’t help smiling even though the snowdrifts and sleet outside my window make me shiver and dread what the roads will be like come the morning!
