Pointed at yellow lines
Crossing them is forbidden
Stripped to their confines

Facing rape with guns
Exterminating daughters and sons
Behold the chosen ones

Horns are now revealed
Along with exposed tails
Evil no longer concealed
The devil is Israel’s

        1. I believe this is the end game. Shocked to silence. Palestinians eradicated, their land stolen forever, perhaps some reservations with a ‘Trump’ casino? No one is doing anything now – who will do anything ten years after the fact, when all the Palestinians are dead? Soon, it will just be a thing that happened, nothing to be done. Humanity is failing – not Palestine – itself.

          1. I agree, though I very much wish I didn’t. And even though anything we attempt may be pitifully useless, still I think we are not absolved from making the attempts. If activists and humanitarians can brave capture, torture and death to try and bring food and medical aid, surely I can write a few poems. And speak up in other ways and circumstances when possible.

  3. Succinctly, and accurately put, Shaun. “Evil no longer concealed” — What happened to the members of the last flotilla trying to deliver aid, the atrocities openly committed against them, show they have no “yellow lines” they aren’t willing to cross.

  4. Shaun, evil doesn’t bother to hide its horns anymore or its tail is well-stated. Now that we see The Beast in its various incarnations across the globe, what are we going to do about it?

    What I don’t understand is why those who have had such evil visited upon themselves now turn to do it to others? Eye for an eye blinds the world.

    As to your protesting in poetry, if not now, when? I admire you speaking truth to power.

    1. Thanks Lisa 🙏 My hope is that the anti-Zionist Jews worldwide stand up against the Israeli government – because they are the people who are in danger. Zionists will see any attack against a Jew as a fantastic media opportunity for their buzzword of anti-semitism. Time to separate Jews and Zionists.

          1. Shaun, I just read that “60 Minutes” journalists are being axed for refusing to inject untruths into their broadcasts. I also read that Bari Weiss was instructed to have an unknown interviewer to a “hardball” interview with Netty’s wife. Filtering propaganda from truth will continue to become more difficult. “God” help us all 😦 Please let us get through.
