All ways
are returning
back to the comfy chair
with a coffee, cat and a book
to read
To read
of roads ahead—
following that one star
a glamour hiding frozen wastes
—return!
Return
to opposite—
the pendulum swings down
here is another hell waiting
—return!
Return
Hollywood shines—
the hills hide the horrors
Barbie demons with plastic smiles
—return!
Go then
towards morning
letting the sunshine in
I will remain at this compass
always.

Nice reflections on where, and what “home” is to you. I love reading your and all the others intrepretations of “home.” I definitely feel at home in my comfy chair, also! Great poem, Shaun! 🧡

Well, there’s still some time to go, I hope! Things may change, but I imagine the direction will still be east. Thanks Andrew 🙏

Shaun, I love all the leavings as explorations and the one spot that pulls you back – the cinquain works well with the pace of your poem
