Longing for the useless
Holding on to the pain
Oh, to end this longing
A devoted life
To which could not explain
The waiting to begin
Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

People often dismiss ambition, passion, and relentless determination as being unrealistic or excessive. The moment you choose a path that others cannot understand, criticism usually arrives long before success does. Yet history repeatedly shows that extraordinary results rarely come from ordinary thinking.
Many of the world’s greatest achievements began with someone being called unreasonable, obsessed, or even crazy. The difference between ridicule and admiration is often measured only by time, persistence, and the willingness to continue when others stop.
Showing emotion, caring deeply, and believing in a vision are not signs of weakness. They are signs of commitment. The people who create change are often the ones who refuse to hide their passion or lower their expectations.
The goal is never to prove people wrong through words alone. It is to build something so meaningful that the results speak for themselves. Sometimes the best response to doubt is simply to show what determination can accomplish.
