A little flower grows like only a flower grows
It grows in the garden next to the weeds
And they’ll make sure it never succeeds
At its function
Month: August 1984
Beetroots – 16th August 1984
The blood is boiling in the pan
Til it catches fire
I denounce you a beetroot
And a liar
Your blood stains our carpet of steel
Tell me little beetroot
Is what you feel real?
Take The Shit Out Of Your Mouth – 15th August 1984
Women have an equal right
Or don’t you understand
Women can survive on their own
They can go unmanned
Still, some women find the need to make a tie
And that tie may exist until they die
Take the shit out of your mouth I plead
Men and women have all they need
Have you no feelings? Is this what you want?
‘Bind me down and tie’
Are you really so stupid and dumb
As not to question why?
Bad Dream – 14th August 1984
I had a feeling of content in my dreams of sin
I dreamt of an existence where I must surely win
The blackness turned to white, silence seemed to wait
The cruelty seemed so far away ’til I was screaming hate
I fell into traps but only fell so far
Drunk all I could drink in a never-ending bar
Smoked all I could smoke out of a continuous box
Surrender! Surrounded by four doors without locks
I had a bad dream and sinned so many times
I join up all the dots and don’t draw any lines
So what conclusion can you bring from my rhyme
Caught in a bad dream with proportions out of time
I fell into traps but only fell so far
I drove alone, international side affect slur
Pretty pictures daunting realism effect
They are only too real, perfect – perfect
Grade One – 13th August 1984
Pretty good for a beginner
You’re the best, you’re the winner
I don’t fuckin’ care who passed
Schools are a thing that just can’t last
They’re a blast from the past
And I fucked up my mocks
‘Come on boy, pull up your socks’
I ain’t done well, I’ve got ungraded
My chances of employment have been jaded
But I don’t fuckin’ care who passed
Schools are a thing that just can’t last
They’re a blast from the past
*The Void, Ulterior Motive – Colehill Memorial Hall, Wimborne – 11th August 1984
Blister – 10th August 1984
Blistered and boiled, my body is soiled
Radiation – I got a blister, sister
Hey mister – I got a blister
Battered and burned, my soul has turned
Into a massive pool of bile
Don’t that make you bastards wanna smile?
You’d drop a bomb
When you find someone bad enough to drop it on
Radiation – I got a blister, sister
Hey mister – I got a blister
Hold my hand
Feel it melt down your arm
But don’t panic
I’ll capture you with my radiating charm
Yeah, brothers and sisters
We’re all bloody blisters
Maze – 9th August 1984
Behind that wall
In the middle
Behind the barrier
The answer to the riddle
Sitting in the middle
All the rich farts
Who can afford to
Reach those parts
They’re holding hands
With the smug politicians
Who put on their face
And remember their positions
This is a maze
House Of God – 8th August 1984
The dog is ignoring the cat
The cat is ignoring the house
But the land is lying flat
Apart from a desolate house
Where there is shelter and food
Where if a stranger dares to intrude
He’ll be strung up by the balls
And smashed against the walls
This is the house of god
And no one gives a sod
In the house of god
House of god
God
Crosses – 7th August 1984
Bear that cross on your back oh Lord
Let yourself suffer now the people are getting bored
They’re destroying your sacred cow
Misery?
Is it something you’ve ever felt?
As ten pence goes into the box to fix your propaganda buildings.
