11th February 1985
Had a good laugh at work. Gave the showroom all their stuff off bulk as quickly as possible. They were quite pissed off. Mike is fucking me off cos he thinks I can’t so anything on my own. Started cassette to give to Wayne when he gives me the other one back.

12th February 1985
Mike’s getting even worse. I’m actually glad I’ll be at college tomorrow. Mum wouldn’t take me in today cos I ran out of petrol – she went and got some instead. Finished off cassette. The Howling is on telly tonight. Last night there was a question prog on TV from Wimborne but I only recognised two people.

Got school bus. Got late bus to Poole. Steve Collins was on there. Got to college. Plumbing was crap. Ian went home. I beat him at pool. English was crap. Carpentry was crap. Wayne wasn’t on bus so I couldn’t give hime the tape. Got school bus home. Saw Dandy, who’s more beautiful than ever. Went down YC – was pretty boring. Jasper thought it was hard to punch a hole in the door.

14th February 1985
Work was slow. Bulk didn’t turn up til the afternoon. Big Brian was doing it – he was being all right this week. Ian was getting pissed off. Mike was pissing me off. Dandy’s gone to Italy – skiing. Don’t stop thinking about her. I WISH….

15th February 1985
Was in warehouse in morning and upstairs doing courses in afternoon. Came back – went to track, chain came off – pushed it to Muz’s. Took half an hour fixing it. Went on then came off again and was totally fucked – it even snapped. Two blokes helped me get it home. Mum took me to YC. Was pretty boring except that me, Crabb, Muz and Jas could take over soon. Crabb’s old dear brought me home.

16th February 1985
Got up at 11. Mum took me into town at 1.30. Bought 10 Manitou 7″s. Me and Fog got talking to some Christian propagandists. Met Piwi. Went round town with Ian and Fog. Went up to Shep’s place. Caught bus to Bournemouth. Got in free. Atrox were ok. General Belgrano went ok. Mass of Black were pretty good. Mad Are Sane were good too. Got bus back. Mum brought me home.

17th February 1985
Got up at 12. Went down Gaunts. Went up track which has iced over. Came home on Crabby’s bike. Went back out. Pissed around. Had ice fight up at the track. Went down behind Muz’s. Got wet. Came back. Bloke out of Josh and John rung me up. Tired to organise something for them – maybe at Gillingham with The Void.

7th January 1985
M: Counted Carsons(?) paint. Gorden Finney was taken in by the police for diddling the company. As was Captain Bill Kirk.
A: Did lots of things. Pretty bored, only got an hour’s sleep last night. Dealt with yellows. Booking in. Tying up advice notes etc
E: Martin came up. Went down Gaunts. Muz won’t come out. Went to H’s, no one answered so I fucked off.

8th January 1985
M: Started snowing as I left. Fuckin’ bad in the eyes. Counted screws. Didn’t do a lot but was somehow occupied.
A: Piwi had dinner at work. Did the (?) shit. Good film last night called Southern Comfort. Roads home were fuckin’ terrible cos of the snow.
E: Had a fuckin’ great snowfight around the top of the hills.

M: Didn’t go to college. Went to Houldey’s. Beki and Jamie were home. Beki wasn’t awake. Went down track, it would’ve frozen over if they’d left it.
A: Came home. Took dog for a walk. The pond had frozen over. Jamie and Bennett’s brother had been fucking around on it
E: Went down Youth Club. Pissed around at darts. Got through pool competition.

M: Woke up at 6.30. Told mum I wasn’t going to work. Went back to bed. Tidied room a bit.
A: Woke up at 1.30. Mum went out. Sat around doing this and that – nothing in particular. Don’t feel too good.
E: Watched telly and cleared up the corner where I sit.

M: Decided not to go to work and to miss Ringo Chubb and Manitou tonight. Got up at 11.30. 
A: Farted around. Tidied up another corner of my room. Chucked a few things out. Even hoovered up again.
E: Went down Youth Club. Free games of pool and didn’t pay to get in.

12th January 1985
M: Got up 8.30. Went to town.Managed to get bus down to Poole. Bought loads of records. Got Nick Cave LP for only 3 quid.
A: Came back – listened to some records. Went out. Chucked till rolls about. Went to Crabby’s and played on his computer.
E: Pissed around down Muz’s. Lisa Burt and Sharon someone were about so we got on their nerves and they got on ours.

M: Crabby and Muz woke me up at 11. Pissed around chasing Sharon and Slim Burt.
A: Fucked around with bangers. Went into Murray’s. Played cards most of the time. Got loads of sweets.
E: Went down. Got the girls again. Went to Burty’s – had a game of cards.

Met Bernice and Steph. Wandered around Wimborne and got cold. Came back. Not feeling too well. Felt like dying. Jim, Jez, Roo have betrayed me and themselves.

DAMIAN DIED TODAY – R.I.P.
Went to Murray’s. His dad has borrowed a business computer – decent.

26th December 1984
Found out the bastards put my name in the paper.

27th December 1984
Pissed around at work. Everyone from Gaunts is being a cunt. Especially Murray.

28th December 1984
Played cards at work. Got letter for payments through.

29th December 1984
Got copying done. Went up to gig. Gave out leaflets. All groups were good, especially Manitou. Went back to Fog’s. Got back at 2.15. Went to sleep at 3.

30th December 1984
Got up at 12. Tried to start bonfire but it wouldn’t go. Will Damian never rest? Read a bit more of book. Went to sleep.

Got up at about 11. Pissed around for a while. Rung Jez. Went to Gaunts. Saw Muz and Graeme. They went to Stanbridge. Got the paper. Went to Hinton Martell. Met Jez there. Wheeled Greg’s Maico back to my place. Went to Houldey’s – no one there. Cut through fields to Hinton Martell. Stayed there and talked to Greg and James til 12. Greg says he’ll buy my pushbike for twenty quid.

19th June 1984
Got up at 11 again. Went to Wimborne. Met Bernice. Hung around for Jim. Got some booze, which we slurped. Jim went on to get some food. Bern went on. So did I. Got some food. Rung Vince up. Meet him tomorrow. Went down Gaunts. Had a dirt and sticks fight (at the track). Came back. Watched Young Ones. Saved a shrew from the cat’s jaws. Boring otherwise.

20th June 1984
Got up at usual time. I think. Pissed around for a while. Went to Wimborne. Met Vince. Told him how to get to my place. He went. Jim came out for lunch. Talked to Ian Bryant for a while. Came back. Went down Gaunts after tea. Had another dirt and sticks fight. Went back to Gaunts and pissed around with water. Came back, blah etc blah

21st June 1984
Woke up. Waited and waited. Burd came round, he spilt my (?). Vince came round. We went to Dominic’s. Bastard wasn’t there. His mum let us practice though. Dominic was supposed to be back at 6 but didn’t show til 7.10. We did our SDC song. Had to go at 7.30. Mum brought us back. Vince went on. We listened to our tape for a while. I went down track – no one there. Went to James’. Had a chat – came back.

22nd June 1984
Can’t remember a lot. Didn’t do much though. Jez was in school – his last day. Went to Jez’s later. He got his bike, we went to Ben’s after Jez got some booze from the club. Didn’t get pissed unfortunately. Went to Roo’s to get Jez’s record – his mother was in a good mood. Went back. Had some toast. Watched telly. I came home. Don’t know what I did.

23rd June 1984
Woke up and did fuck all. Rung Jez. He was getting his hair cut. He came over. Tried to get Maico on the road. Couldn’t. We went down track. Then to Wimborne. Met Elford. They went to chippies. I came back. They came over and went on. Jez came over. We went to Wimborne. We lost each other. I went to Bernice’s. Then up to Colehill. Met Liz. Found Jez. Went to (?). Piss boring. Jez was trying to be cool now he’s got a bike so I pissed off home.

24th June 1984
Jez came over. We went to Jim’s. Caught the bus to Bournemouth. Saw a bit of all right on there. Found Zoe and Sharon. Found an off-license and got booze. Farted around all day in the graveyard. Jim was really pissed. Zoe and Sharon got bus back. We went to Winton. No gig, we got the wrong date. Jim’s old man picked us up. I came back and watched telly the rest of the night.
