“Ultimately, F.E.I.A.R. feels like an exploration of some of the many sides of derangement, letting each track speak to a different nuance on the multifaceted front of devolving into chaos while proving independently musically striking. The album’s riff-mania quickly gets pretty alluring. 5/5 Stars” – Capturedhowls.com

“Chaotic and brilliant all in one” – Thisnoiseisours.com

“The album is a real evil, genuine chaos and energy spurting the fountain!” – Homo-faber.net

“Any of you fans of more forward-thinking Converge style blackened hardcore with angular dissonant music that then gets buried in noise-laden blast beats, under eerie vocals that can switch to throat shattering shrieks on a dime, Singular needs to be on your radar” – Uniteasia.org

Daighila/Grinding Halt – 28th January 2013

Cat #: 120TZM

Daighila from Malaysia delivers two tracks of early Envy inspired hardcore mixed with some Neil Perry in the mix. You know the stuff when screamo wasn’t a curse word yet and this sort of music was delivered by punks. Well. It’s still around. Hectic, fast, melodic and with passion.

This will be Grinding Halt’s 2nd split 7” this year and here they deliver their longest and heaviest track to date. Three riffs is all it takes really. Think Eyehategod with heavy, distorted vocals. Blunt and without any thrills.

Split label release with Graanrepubliek Records (Netherlands) and Bullwhip Records (Malaysia)

Various Artists – Give and Take – 14th July 2012

Cat #: 064TZM

Give and Take is a compilation project initiated by us because we (Nervhous Records) think local Malaysian bands deserve the attention and exposure. We asked our friends’ bands to record a song for this compilation and this is the result. So, the bands on this disc represent just a small slice of the ever-growing local DIY music scene. As the title suggests, we need to have tolerance and respect towards each other and at the same time be opened to others, not only our little hc/punk friends circle.

This is a co-operative release between Nervhous Records, Red Ink Entertainment, Pissart Records and tenzenmen

El Eje Del Mäl/Inquiry Last Scenery – 12th March 2012

Cat #: 027TZM

Our cooperative worldwide DIY network made this 7″ happen with the following record labels input:
tenzenmen (Australia)
Liku-Likuan Hibaran (Malaysia)
Internationale (UK)

I can’t remember why, but this release took a couple of years to complete.

12th Mar 2023 – It took a few years to sell too as both bands weren’t so active around this time. There was a mix of fluorescent covers and the childlike artwork always stood out when flicking through record stacks.

Fanzui Xiangfa/Daighila – 1st June 2010

Cat #: 028TZM

The Fanzui Xiangfa / Daighila split 7″ came about after Fanzui Xiangfa’s 2009 SE Asia Tour. The two bands played together in Malaysia and Singapore discovering their common love for hardcore and devotion to the DIY scene. Fanzui Xiangfa’s side is a collection of newer songs in their typical oldschool style reminiscent of DS-13. While Daighila brings three raging screamo tracks that encompass elements from many different classic schools of hardcore. Taken together the split represents two of the most exciting bands from China and Malaysia.
