It was the land of the lucky that so inspired,
a roll of the dice was all that was required;
All allowed to play, starting with an even field,
it was the illusion of choice that so appealed.
As the game was begun, so the landlords arose
sucking the life out of all those who oppose,
then the banks took control of all society
and this game of life became a monopoly.

I’m lucky enough to not have bought much into the game anymore. I’ve never had a credit card and haven’t had any debt for the past 30 years either. Some of this was by planning and hard work but a larger percentage is probably attributable to luck.

The bankers own us. I’d hate to think it’s always been so, but it seems that way now more than ever. If only they didn’t own the politicians too and thus the means of nuclear annihilation. Wonder where we are on the Doomsday Clock?!

The Doomsday Clock is just to keep us all in fear. It reminds me of the part in 1984 where two countries agree to go to war but don’t actually fight each other. They both just profit from the idea.
