Oh, funny little man
sat here forevermore,
curious of my plan,
to be sure, to be sure.

A question to all comers
over the bridge, explore
through winters and summers,
to be sure, to be sure.

The old and defeated
are curious no more,
their lifetime completed,
to be sure, to be sure.
