You’re right, it doesn’t fit the quadrille form, so please pare it down to 44 words, or possibly write a second poem that fits the 44 words. Maybe a Q that shows how the situation gets resolved?

Yet they seem to be able to coax us quite well. We had a persistent stray visitor earlier this year. Now he’s living here!
