A Lad In Time – 1st November 2024

Don’t waste a wish on wondering
Chances are as rare as the genies
Don’t rue the wasted time blundering
Made maudlin by monsters and meanies

This is so good. In other words, wishes aren’t something none of us humans can expect things to come true. At least that’s why I got from the short poem itself.

  Thanks Charlie. I’m not a fan of wishing, it seems a waste of time. Thoughts and prayers are only to make the sender feel better. Very much inspired by my mum and her oft-used phrase of ‘just get on with it!’
