Shared with W3 #200 – alphabet poetry
ash beneath cradle;
drifting
echoes,
fade;
glowing hushes
in jewelled knots
linger,
murmur;
night observations
pale quietly;
ribbons, silvery tin;
under veils,
wispy x-rays
yearning zero.
Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

Really good poem!

Shaun this is a wonderful atmospheric and tactile piece and what’s great is the ‘alphabet’ form doesn’t stand out it reads beautifully 🩷

Nicely done! I definitely think this was the more difficult of the two options- and you killed it!

Thanks Violet 🙏 I hadn’t planned on doing them in abc order originally but the words just fell into place.

Excellent poem, Shaun. This form is difficult, I think.

Shaun, this has a quiet, haunting feel to me. “Ash beneath cradle” and “wispy x-rays / yearning zero” really slaps.
