Rag and bone,
A skipping stone
My, my, my,
How you’ve grown,
Bone and rag,
A punching bag,
Now, now, now,
Nag, nag, nag,
White flag flown,
Starts to sag,
Jump up and down,
Get off your phone,
Give the dog a bone,
Rag….

write your own poem that emulates skipping/clapping songs – something to snap, clap, and jump around to.
Today’s Daily Stoic poem:

With a knick knack, paddy whack,
Give a dog a bone.
This old man came rolling home.
Oh. You got here first! So cool soooo cool. Thanks. Love it to pieces.

It’s noisy out there. Throw them a bone and be present. 🤗

Shaun, good title. After reading the poem, then reading the prompt, I did it again while clapping my hands. It works! 🙂

Good Skipping song. I could say I tried it out and it works. But at my age that would result in a call for an ambulance:) Rall

This feels playful, but with some dark tones at center, with that punching bag. Could go so many ways with this, story-wise. Loved it.

True. I guess quite a lot of nursery rhymes, kids stories etc have some dark undertones. Thanks De 🙏
