Greyskull – 1st November 2022

With the power of Gyges ring
The possibility to do most anything
What are the morals that you bring?
To darken the world or make it sing?

Freedom, a gift wasted on the free.

Alex Dobrenko

Today I’m feeling:
Happy
Today I’m grateful for:
Seeing most of my students again, one month older. Even in that short time, they change quickly. I wonder if I do too.
The best thing about today was:
Happily waiting at the bank to open a new account. It took about an hour to just get seen but after that was easy. The thing is, it never felt like an hour as I was prepared mentally and kept myself busy with my phone and my brain.
What do you love about the month of November?
Right now it’s gotta be the cooler air. So good to almost feel cold. It’s almost time to start putting on a t-shirt. Daytime is still melting but a little less intense.

I took this picture because I just happened to glance outside to see this as I was eating a big bowl of salad. The sun had already gone behind the mountains a good 40 minutes already so this was a bit of a surprise.

We got that attitude! – 2nd July 2020

Tired but had a good sleep. Lazy to work out this morning just stretch instead okay. The clouds – remember about clouds – oh yeah – best cloud of the day award – make a day of awards – will be fun and make you happy. I need to clean my room. Are my teeth okay? Feel better but need them to stay okay forever. Smell cat pee. Could just be damp humid air.

Learning Thai words but no chance to use really and when I do have chance someone Thai will usually say it first! The struggles of a language learner.

Walked KhaoThang home yesterday and jogged back. I have no stamina – had to rest many times! It’s okay though – felt good. My feet suck though. Knees too. Core too – haha! My body is slowly starting to know more about exercise again. I remember a time when I was filled with energy and stamina before my body grew into its twisted adult shape.

Gratitude Journal

I am so happy and grateful to the person in the bank who gave me what I need for my visa.

To-do list

  • Compliment someone and give silent good wishes ✅
  • ‘Thank you’ mantra ✅
  • Record more blog posts and edit drafts ✅

Missed out on writing last night as we went out to eat with Aing and her friend. I had a couple of beers and went straight to be when I got home.

And tonight it’s already late and I’m lazy. I’m not concerned though. Things are going in the right direction for me.

We got that attitude! – 12th June 2020

I am so happy and grateful that I got access back to our Westpac bank account today!

3rd Aug 2022 – Both Amy and I hadn’t been able to access our Australia account with our phone app, although we were still able to use our debit cards. We tried calling the bank in Oz and whilst they were helpful there was information that we couldn’t quite remember so that they could confirm we were who we were saying we were! For me, I couldn’t remember the address I had in Adelaide, or even if I had updated it with the bank. It was frustrating for us but I can totally understand the bank not giving access.

And then – I remembered the correct password! Woohoo. We couldn’t get Amy’s access back though but all was right with mine, enough to even get a new debit card sent to Thailand.

To-do list

  • Positive-smile-compliment-wish-body scan ½
  • Scan pictures in the evening
  • Sort pictures to print
  • More Thai study – don’t stop! ½
  • Speak less – listen more

Dry your tears, we did everything we could – 8th June 2020

Hot Snakes CD on shelf while stretching has removed Heavy Vegetable – Gar Wood, Gar Wood, Gar wouldn’t listen.

Heavy breathing, hot and sweaty, 30 squats, aching back – tried stretching it out – wish my body felt perfect but I go on just ignoring the pain or diverting thoughts away from it. Wrist ache – thumb ache – from writing. Don’t want to stop. (illegible) today. Dollars – more pain – hopefully, alleviated.

Green, green the garden now so many shades of green – I love it.

Congratulated Amy on her sudden garden passion and all the work she put into it. Drive the truck today – needs diesel – have to remember it’s not 91! Remember yr toothbrush too. Where to park that massive truck? Let’s see – everything will be okay.

Tell Champ you’re going to the dentist. Go to the banks too – sort out PayPal and WeChat.

Hot hot hot – sweat gathered on arm. What else is inside this crazed brain? Get it out.

Slept well, woke up during the night to the sound of the aircon self-cleaning but ignored well enough and drifted back to dreams. Maybe annoyed Amy but she was too lazy to get up and turn it off. Nevermind. Amy is lovely. I’m so happy and grateful every day to have her in my life because she takes care of herself and all the things around the house. Good she is distracted with garden instead of just drinking the day away now.

I am happy and grateful for the good time I had last night drinking beer, listening to Alice Donut and Can, and doing a jigsaw!
